OSU's RV TAANI is pierside at Bollinger Houma Shipyards in Houma, LA for outfitting and commissioning efforts. While here, equipment will be hooked up, and test ran, final painting will be completed, and dockside trials will be conducted. Once those efforts are complete, the Taani will undergo Builder's Sea Trials and Preliminary Acceptance Trials early next year, with delivery to OSU's crew in the fall of 2026. Taani will finish outfitting at the shipyard and eventually transit to homeport (Newport, OR) for christening and post-delivery science trials and crew training. Taani will enter the US Academic Research Fleet in 2027.
