The oceanographic Research Vessel WECOMA is owned by the National Science Foundation and operated by the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences at OSU. Wecoma is 185' long, capable of working throughout the world's ice-free oceans, and operated by a crew of 13. Wecoma's home port is Newport, Oregon, at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center.
