Research Vessel Oceanus is en route from Woods Hole, Massachusetts to the vessel's new home port in Newport, Oregon. Oregon State University will assume operation of the National Science Foundation owned vessel for the 2012 field season. The vessel is expected to arrive in Newport in late February. R/V Wecoma, the vessel previously operated by OSU, will be retired in late March.
